Inspiring American Patriotism since 1889

The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history and teaching American history to future generations.
Few have heard of the "Black Robe Regiment" - clergy members whose sermons stirred the souls of ordinary men to resist tyranny. Many of these patriots joined their parisoners and took up arms against their British oppressors. Join Virginia Pastor, Peter Muenberg, as he describes his own experience during this time of faith and fire.
Did you know that a handful of veterans who fought in the American Revolution actually lived to see the end of the American Civil War in 1865? Join Jim Griffith and Jim Maples as they present the stories of Daniel Frederick Bakeman and John Gray, both of whom helped America achieve its Independence. The two went on to watch in disbelief as Americans battled each other 78 years later. Listen as they tell the story of the last veterans of the American Revolution.
Thomas Paine, a recent immigrant to America, published "Common Sense" on January 10, 1776. Author Jack Kelly, descibes how this pamphlet, along with Paine's other notable work, "The American Crisis", galvanized public support for independence and inspired Washington's troops during their darkest hours, making him a pivotal figure in our nation's founding. Sons of the American Revolution

As President of the Colorado Society, Sons of the American Revolution, I extend to you a personal thank you for visiting our website. Our society was formed in 1889 and is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and teaching American history to future generations.

We are a male lineage society whose members can trace lineal descent to a man or woman who provided service in the war of independence. We are active in the community with our support for Eagle Scouts, ROTC, and our classroom activities, including the “Patriot Chest” presentation.
Our society fosters camaraderie among its members. If you would like to join our society or have other questions we would love to hear from you. I remain, humbly,
Yours to serve,
